| Rob Bonstin remembers Carl Albert
Carl once said to me:
"Dude, why the hell aren't you in a band? Your voice
is too good to waste and not be out there for people to
hear."
I thought that was one of the coolest thing anyone could
say, more so since he was a fellow singer.
I didn't know Carl as well as most of these other guys. I
had the disadvantage since we could never be in a band
together!
I never the less had a lot of admiration for him as an
incredible singer as well as a great guy. When I heard
him in the Ruffians singing songs I had sung, the first
thing I thought was he was the perfect singer for that
style of metal.
I was really glad for him and for the Ruffians and
subsequently VR. It inspired me to develop my voice and
give it more 'personality'.
I will always miss him and think about him when I'm
singing.
Thanks,
Rob

Does the guy 2nd from the right look familiar?
It's former VR guitarist: Terry Montana!!
Thanx Rob for your contributions!
