To me, Carl was more than a friend. He was the band member that you couldn't be mad at for missing rehearsal 'cause when he was there, he was just too fun to have around.

On the road, he was the guy who kept you laughing and enjoying what ever was going on around you, no matter how trying the situation might be. He was always entertaining either himself or his friends.

I personally NEVER had any cross words with the man. ( which is more than I can say for any other member)!
As for his talents, wow, I've yet to ever hear a lead vocalist from ANY group sing so consistently and beautifully.

The eight and half years I knew him were full of more camaraderie than friends that shared a lifetime, losing him was like losing a really close brother, even though I never had one of those, I would hope it's like that.
