When Vinnie Moore bailed out on Vicious Rumors right after the "Soldiers of the Night" recording, the band turned to the talents of established Bay Area veteran guitarist Terry Montana for help. A fixture in the local San Francisco rock/metal scene for years with bands such as TYRANT,Terry added his fiery playing and stage presence to help bring the "Soldiers" sound alive on stage during 1985-1986. Although he would leave VR after only 1 1/2 years for personal and musical reasons, he is remembered by VR fans for his dedicated live performances, and for helping to keep the flame burning at a critical point in the bands career.
