VR Forum #7: Dave Starr

On more than several occasions, I have been asked to explain the special thanx given to a certain 'Zefram Cochran' in the credits section of the Atlantic Debut.
Here is the story...

When submitting our credits/thanks to our manager for the 1990 Atlantic CD, I got an urge to do something a little off the wall. Being a big Star Trek fan, I was determined to get a character from Trek into the credits section!

Bob Zemsky (our manager) called me one day and asked "who is this Zefram guy"? I told him that he was a good friend of mine, and that I really owed him a great deal when he helped me get some music gear the year before. Bob bought the story, and the credit/thanx was given in the CD sleeve!

To any fan of Star Trek, the truth was in fact quite obvious...Zefram Cochran was the scientist who invented the WARP DRIVE! He was featured in the 1967 episode #31 called 'Metamorphosis'. Zefram was played by veteran TV and Film actor Glen Corbett who passed away in 1993.

OK, maybe not earth shaking VR history news, but a fun and mindless bit of VR trivia for the fans I thought I would share!......
